The Neosho County Commission discussed bridges at its weekly meeting Friday.   The Chanute Tribune reports that commissioners voted to request funds from the Kansas Department of Transportation to work on several bridges.  They also discussed the bridge on Elk Road north of Chanute, which is in need of replacement but will be very expensive to replace.  The larger bridges in the county are a “stumbling block” due to the cost of repair or replacement.   (7/17)
