KIKS & KIOL Radio News 11/7/2017

Today is election day with polls open from 7 am to 7pm. Today’s city and school elections are the first to be held in the fall after a recent law pushed them from April to November. And in Allen County, the election is the first one where voters can use new ExpressVote machines. Allen County Clerk Sherrie Riebel tells the Register that the new electronic devices will be used at each of the five polling places in Allen County. There will be two at Iola’s Bass Community Hall, two at Humboldt Methodist Church and one each at Gas City Hall, LaHarpe Senior Center and Moran Senior/Community Center. Voters will be given the option of using either the traditional paper ballots or the ExpressVote machines. (11/7)
