If you were watching the Rose Bowl Parade yesterday, you might have seen some our fellow Kansans.  The Louisburg High School Marching Band was one of 13 high school bands from across the country selected to march in the parade.   It was the first band from Kansas to march in the parade this century.  (1/2)
U.S. Senator Jerry Moran will be in Allen County today.  He will tour the new G&W Foods in Iola this afternoon from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m.  After that, he will also will tour the Monarch Cement Company in Humboldt from 2:45 – 3:30 p.m.   (1/2)
 A semi driver received only minor injuries Saturday morning as he tried to avoid killing a small herd of black cows that were on U.S. Highway 59 just before dawn.  It is unknown how the cows may have gotten out.  The rig ended up on its side and six cows were killed.  (1/2)
