In Parsons, two suspects are being held in connection to a shots fired investigation. According to KOAM TV, on Saturday, an officer says he heard what sounded like gunfire. He began an investigation and found two intended targets, who were not injured, and two suspects. Authorities say they found several pieces of evidence including two handguns, ammunition, spent shell casings, clothing and drugs. Charges have not yet been filed.
A $10,000 reward has been offered in a cattle theft crime that that occurred in November. The Chanute Tribune reports that the Neosho County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft that happened six miles north of Parsons. There were 11 black heifers and one black bull stolen. If you have information, contact Neosho County Sheriff’s Office at 244-3888.
Investigators believe that the theft may be related to others recently in the area.
