A traffic advisory from The Kansas Department of Transportation. KDOT is removing and replacing pavement markings on U.S. 400 in Greenwood County. The work starts at the north U.S. 400/K-99 junction, and continues east for 15 miles to the Greenwood-Wilson county line. Flaggers and a pilot car are directing one-lane traffic through the work zone. Expect daytime delays of 15 minutes or less through the end of April.
SEK-CAP, The Southeast Kansas Community Action Program, has set a deadline for accepting applications for the Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program. The deadline has been set at 4:30pm on Tuesday, April 30th. The program is funded through the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation. It assists qualifying homeless individuals and families with rental subsidies, along with security and utility deposits.
